New Request Types - Dates & Booleans

Requests can now include dates and yes/no questions. These are great for gathering more structured data from your portfolio companies.

We also gave the Request editor a facelift and improved some UX/UI to make it easier to build requests.

  • Dates: Great for Cash Out Date, Expected Next Raise, Last Time Raised
  • Yes/No: Great for structured questions. e.g. "Do you have D&O Insurance?", "Do you have an underrepresented member on your board?"

Custom Properties

Custom properties are now live in the UI. In your portfolio click the secondary dropdown and create custom properties for your portfolio. Properties can include:

  • Numbers
  • Percentages
  • Currencies (Full currency support)
  • Dates
  • Short/Long Text
  • Dropdowns
  • URLs

Advisor Role Permissions

Want to share specific portfolio companies with advisors, mentors or individuals that work closely with your portfolio companies but don't want them to get full access? Advisor Roles are a perfect fit for you!

Advisors can belong to many portfolio companies. They can only see information at the portfolio company level.

Advisors can not see:

  • Dashboards
  • Reports
  • Metrics
  • Settings & Contacts

Advisors can see:

  • Companies they have explicit access to and their respective portfolio profile information

Reports

Our new report builder allows you to create and save reports for your portfolio. Reports will provide instant insights into company performance and custom views -- great for weekly meetings!

In our initial release, reports can include:

  • Metrics
  • Metric Insights for changes between periods -- % and actual (WoW, MoM, QoQ and YoY)
  • Custom Properties
  • Request Metadata
  • Sorting

Contact Activity Feed

You can now see the Activity Feed for any of your contacts. Simply click on a contact from your Home Activity Feed or navigate to Contacts and select a contact.

We'll show you how they are engaging with your Updates & Dashboards. We'll continue to add more events over time as well!

Customize Y Axis Scale

You can now customize the primary Y axis of your charts.

Head over to the Options tab of any chart you are editing or creating to customize the Min and Max of the primary axis.

Buyer beware: if you go this route, we cannot guarantee things will look great. You may also break best practices when it comes to visualizing data. However, we realize there are some instances when our automated axis doesn't render to customer needs. Enjoy!

Introducing Home

The Home section provides an activity feed to show you exactly who is engaged with your Updates, Dashboards and other content.

We like to think of it as a Twitter feed of how your investors are engaged with your business!

In this first version we’ll provide:

  • Views of Updates (from an email or link)
  • Clicks on Updates
  • Reactions to Updates
  • Views of Dashboards

Your feed will also smartly group items together based on time and the activity type. Home also provides quick actions to see your recently sent Updates, existing Update drafts as well as start a new Update from scratch or a template.
